SITES

This page provides information on sites found in the Hampshire and Isle of Wight area. Three of these sites are reserves that are managed by the branch. Click here for more information on these reserves. You can also click here to see the butterfly and some of the moth species found in our area.

There, of course, many more sites that can be found in our area. The map shows the National Grid, shown in black text on the map, and the Irish National Grid, shown in green text on the map, each consisting of a number of 100 x 100 kilometre grid squares. Clicking a grid square will take you to the UK Butterflies website, and will show a more detailed map of butterflies found in that square (site information for moths is not yet available), if more information is available. The Hampshire and Isle of Wight region is centred around the SU and SZ grid squares.
