2020 Butterfly Transect Season
IMPORTANT NOTICE (14 May 2020). Although all Butterfly Conservation events, including walks and meetings, remain cancelled until further notice it is now permissible to carry out UKBMS transects in England only.
Following the latest Government advice, which eases restrictions on outdoor journeys and exercise, Butterfly Conservation and the UKBMS partnership have now issued advice that butterfly transect recording in England can resume. Those self-isolating or shielding should not resume, and social distancing rules remain. Please also check site access and landowner permissions, as appropriate, before you start your first transect. The latest Covid-19 guidance and updated Health & Safety guidance are also available on the UKBMS website.
Please contact Linda Barker if you are able to help with the transect at Itchen Valley Country Park or other transects at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
