Mottled Beauty - Aclis rependata

This widely spread moth occurs in woodland, moorland, hedgerows and scrubby calcareous grassland, parks and gardens. The larvae eat a wide variety of mainly woody plants including Blackthorn, Hawthorn, Silver Birch and oaks.
