Red Admiral Flying at Hilsea Station. Saw a Red Admiral flying at around 1pm today at Hilsea Station, it did not alight for a photo though. Amazing to see a butterfly flying in Mid December :-) [Posted by Francis Kinsella]

Red Admiral at Stokes Bay,Gosport.. A Red Admiral was basking & flying at Stokes Bay(old moat),Gosport,in weak sunshine and a very light south-south=easterly breeze at a temperature of 14 degrees Celsius. [Posted by David Tinling]

Red Admiral at Gosport Golf Course.. A Red Admiral was basking and flying in weak sunshine at the Gosport & Stokes Bay Golf Course(north-east),sheltering near the sea on the Hampshire coast from a moderate to fresh westerly wind,gusting fresh to strong, at a temperature of 14 Celcius.
