Red Admiral Flying at Hilsea Station. Saw a Red Admiral flying at around 1pm today at Hilsea Station, it did not alight for a photo though. Amazing to see a butterfly flying in Mid December :-) [Posted by Francis Kinsella]

A Red Admiral was basking and flying in weak sunshine at the Gosport & Stokes Bay Golf Course(north-east),sheltering near the sea on the Hampshire coast from a moderate to fresh westerly wind,gusting fresh to strong, at a temperature of 14 Celcius.
